WE ARE A NON PROFIT SOCIETY DEDICATED TO THE PROMOTION OF BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THE BUILDING ENVELOPE
The Building Envelope incorporates all of the roofs, walls, windows, floors and foundations that enclose the indoor environment of a building.
ABEC is interested in design, construction, performance, evaluation, testing, renovation, restoration and maintenance of building envelopes.

WHAT WE DO
WE HOLD MONTHLY MEETINGS, SEMINARS, AND WORKSHOPS; INTRODUCING LEADING-EDGE TECHNOLOGY AND PRODUCTS
We hold luncheon seminars on the fourth Wednesday of the month from January to May and September to November. Cost is $40 for members and $50 for non-members. Luncheons are held at the Elk's Club located 2502 6th Street NE. Other events include our annual golf tournament and educational seminars and courses. Register through our newsletter or events page.
We review interesting projects, promote continuing education, provide regular newsletters to keep members informed of presentations, support education, research and development through scholarships to S.A.I.T. and The University of Calgary. We are pleased to announce this years scholarship recipients, University of Calgary, Daniel Szymanski, S.A.I.T CET, Connor Trepanier and Meaghan Williams, S.A.I.T AT, Michelle Dallaire.
We liaise with other Building Envelope Councils, institutions and associations with similar interests in building envelopes.
